Wild Signs
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s pick for 2002’s “most artistically ambitious” and “adventuresome” debut, the company utilized 14 actors, 2 live musicians, fire-eaters, belly dancers, snake charmers, and a modern dancer to tell this epic tale of Augustin Calmet, a French monk in the early eighteenth century who inadvertently introduced Western Europe to the legend of the vampire.
The company installed the production in the empty sanctuary of a black stone gothic church in Highland Park (now the Union Project).
