That’s right, Bricolage puts the Mystery Science Theater 3000-style treatment to the movies The 36th Chamber of Shaolin and Godzilla vs. Mothra. It’s going to be a riot!
Cult Movie Classics Directed by Jeffrey Carpenter
Featuring two of the most popular cult movie classics of all time, Bricolage overlays a hilarious soundscape and script onto the most outrageous snippets from each film. The 36th Chamber of Shaolin begins as a story of courage, revenge, and triumph…until it gets the Midnight Radio treatment of outlandish overdubbing. Godzilla vs. Mothra is arguably one of the most spoofed cult classics of all time and Bricolage presents the funniest and most unexpected version yet.
Writers Gayle Pazerski and Brad Stephenson are no strangers to the wacky antics of Midnight Radio. The team usually writes the Fake Breaking News segments, but this time they teamed up with funny man-“fictionaut”- Joe Lyons, and are taking on the full script for Episode 3: Cult Movie Classics. Josh Verbanets, from local indie rock band Meeting of Important People, will be the musical act for Cult Movie Classics. For each performance, Verbanets will bring along a special guest—or two—including his fellow bandmates from MOIP.
