THE SOUND OF IMAGINATION
Co-directors Jeffrey Carpenter and Tami Dixon developed the Midnight Radio Live practice of storytelling in 2008, which resembles a classic 1940s radio broadcast, complete with commercial parodies, musical underscoring, and live Foley sound effects.
The Midnight Radio platform is the umbrella to four distinct, yet interconnected components. Live shows are presented in theater spaces, while the highly successful education program adapts the Midnight Radio format for public school students to engage with core curriculum both in-person and online. The company is now thrilled to announce the addition of the Noise Factory, a new Foley studio for sound experimentation and collaboration, and the home base for a new Midnight Radio Podcast series, now in development.
