Hunter Gatherers

Photo depicting performance

A Pittsburgh premier play about a dinner party stripped of its dinner party decorum.

An animal sacrifice kicks off the evening, followed by a little more wrestling, dancing, sex, violence, and deception than at previous parties. A darkly comic evening where the line between civilized and primal is blurred, and where not everyone will survive long enough to enjoy brownies for dessert.

Make it a Raw Night with Bricolage’s Hunter Gatherers

A dinner party that swiftly spirals out of control, Hunter Gatherers is not for the tame of heart.

Sean Collier, Pittsburgh Magazine

Bricolage Production Company’s Hunter Gatherers is a bloody good time.

Pittsburgh Post Gazette

In Hunter Gatherers, superbly directed and realized by Jeffrey Carpenter, the cast surges with talent, in constantly off-the wall performances which nonetheless seem like humans rather than cartoons. These characters, as in the best comedies, take themselves seriously and can’t help it if they lose control.
