A Fond Farewell to BUS
For over a decade, BUS has served as Bricolage’s Annual Fundraiser. A mix of jet-fueled theater and VIP Gala, BUS brought together 40 of the city’s top theater artists in a race against time to create compelling, original plays in just 24 hours.
Basking in the afterglow of our first ever BUS in 2005, completely exhausted but full of love and inspiration, Jeffrey and I looked at each other and said “let’s do this for the next 10 years,” never really thinking we’d be around for that long. 2017 rolled in and there we were celebrating our 12th BUS!!
It’s been a hell of a ride, spanning 4 different venues, 100’s of artists, 72 original plays, 1 anthology, 1 original song (courtesy of Josh Verbanets), 6 killer videos, 5 bare butts, 1 citation from The Mayor, and an AMAZING community of BUS riders.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a gift this fundraiser has been to us over the years in so many ways. But, now it’s time for us to park the BUS and go under the hood to create an all-new fundraising experience. We hope you’ll join us for this next adventure.
