B.U.S. 7

Mark your calendars, because our 10th anniversary B.U.S. is going to be our biggest, baddest, and -- dare we say it? -- bestest annual fundraiser ever!
Friday, February 24 at 7:30pm: VIP Behind-the-Scenes Event
Saturday, February 25 at 7:30pm: B.U.S. 7
Each year, inspired by our theater’s proximity to a busy downtown bus stop, we send 6 local playwrights on a 90-minute ride on a Pittsburgh city bus. Each writer has 12 hours to write a 10-minute play inspired by their journey, which the directors and actors then have the next 12 hours to rehearse, memorize and stage LIVE for our audience that same evening -- exactly 24 hours after the first meeting.
B.U.S. is more than a festival, and MUCH more than a typical fundraiser. It’s a whirlwind weekend of collaboration, creativity, and sleep deprivation, bringing many of Pittsburgh’s greatest talents together to pull off an artistic feat of epic proportions.
If you already have plans, cancel them. Why? Because it's just that awesome.
Never been to B.U.S. before? This video will show you what it's all about:

And just for good measure, here are a few quotes from past participants:
"No matter what way I'm involved--actor, director, audience member--B.U.S. is one of my favorite theatre happenings. It's mission is daunting and exhilirating, the collaborators hilarious and heroic, and the results are impressive and memorable. And it's the coolest party!"
- Sheila McKenna, Chair of the Point Park University Theater Department
"B.U.S. was one of the most wildly creative and terrifying theatrical processes I’ve ever been through, that surprisingly paid off in spades. It’s a rollercoaster ride for all involved that shakes up and tears down any artistic pretense you might have for the betterment of the work and the creative spirit."
- Matt M. Morrow, Associate Artistic Director of City Theater
